Family

Some stories are harder to tell, but sometimes they’re also the most important.

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing River– a beautiful four year old mixed breed pup with the heart of a guardian and the spirit of a best friend.

River’s family- her mom, dad, and 1.5 year old human brother- wanted to capture their love for her before saying goodbye. River has been bravely battling seizures and is blind in one eye, but even with her struggles, River’s sweet, loving spirit shines through every moment.

With her soft black fur, brown-dipped paws, and a little white patch on her chest, River is every bit the loyal, shepherd-hearted (and shepherd-attitude’d!!) soul her family loves so deeply. It was such an honor getting to meet her and being given the opportunity to capture memories of her with her rescue family. Thank you for letting me meet your sweet girl, Wright family!!
