Today, the world said goodbye to a very special soul. Coda was just 3.5 years old, but in that short time, he lived a life full of love, wild adventures, and joy that could only come from a dog who truly knew what it meant to be part of a family.

We met at Homer Lake for his session—one last outing where he got to do all the things he loved. He explored the woods, sniffed the trails, and ran with his human siblings like the spirited little guy he always was. You could feel it in the air: this wasn’t just a goodbye. It was a celebration of all the memories, the chaos, the belly rubs, and the muddy paw prints he’d left behind.

Coda was a hunter at heart, fearless and determined. He chased opossums, tracked and ran with deer, and even had a run-in with a skunk (tail was the casualty, but Coda walked away proud). Every story his family shared about him came with a laugh and a smile. This dog had personality for days.

But beyond the adventures, he was a dog who was clearly, deeply loved. You could see it in every interaction, every hug, every smile. He wasn’t just a pet… he was a best friend, a protector, a sibling, and a piece of their hearts.
It was an honor to photograph him and help preserve just a little piece of his incredible story. Rest in Peace, Coda. You’ll be missed sweet pup 🧡
